Welcome to Pips Class at St Gregory School Nursery
Our caring and fun Nursery is led by two fully qualified teachers – Mrs Gray and Mrs Bettis, working together with our experienced team of learning support staff. Our focus is on friendship and fun – learning through play and building positive relationships.
We understand the importance of providing a nurturing and homely environment for young children beginning their school journey. We follow our children“s interests and support their growing social skills in order to help them make friends and grow in independence and confidence. From this solid foundation, our children are supported to pursue their curiosity in the world around them, take risks in their learning and fulfil their potential across all areas of development.
We are lucky to have our own Nursery building on the school grounds as well as a large and varied outdoor area including a growing garden, calm area and opportunity for biking, running, climbing and getting hands-on with nature. We also have access to the main school facilities including PE lessons in the main hall and school field. We have an excellent transition programme supporting children to move confidently to their main school.
Children can start in Pips Class in the term after their 3rd birthday. We offer morning, afternoon and all-day sessions according to your need as well as wrap-around care from 7.30am to 5.00pm for those who need more flexibility. Please see our admissions page https://www.stgregoryschool.co.uk/nursery-admissions/ for more details.
