Our school council meets every week with Mr Woodrow to discuss ideas and provide solutions to issues that arise in school. They then feed back to their classes and listen to their ideas and suggestions.
The current members of the school council had to apply for their post and were involved in interviews with the outgoing Year 6 school councilors from last year.
The school council also meet as three smaller committees, which are for:
• Outdoor play
• Friendship and bullying
• Outdoor learning
School Council present a Tidy Trophy each week to the tidiest classroom. This year they have helped write our School’s Anti Bullying Policy, organised Friendship Week and got feedback from their classes on Talk 4 Writing and how teachers feed back to them. They have also helped spend the money that we won in Beat The Street on new playground equipment.
